How Dance Command works for venues
Your room, listed so organizers can find it and ask to hold their nights there. You answer; they run the night.
Your first day
- Sign up and tick Venue. Describe the room: floor, capacity, parking, policies.
- Turn on notifications so asks reach your phone.
- Answer hosting requests, one night or a whole month.
- Connect Stripe if you charge a room fee through Dance Command.
Who sees you
- Organizers on Dance Command find you in Find people and ask. Your venue page is public.
- A venue account is not listed on Dance Seekers by itself: the nights held in your room are, under the organizer who runs them.
Money
- When organizers pay you (a card tapped on your phone, a pay link, a pack): the transaction fee is 7.5% + $1.00, online or in person (10% with no fixed part on anything under $10, never under $0.50), one fee with nothing on top. The charge screen shows the fee, and who pays it, before you take the card; the rest lands in your own Stripe account.
- Room fees can also settle between you and the organizer outside Dance Command; that is up to the two of you.
Notifications
- On your phone: push notifications for answers, work and reminders are on once you allow them; news is off. Quiet hours (11 pm to 9 am) hold work and reminder pushes until morning. Change it all in Notifications.
- Email: messages a person wrote, booking asks, invites, receipts and sign-in codes always come. Automatic emails (the morning summary, reminders, nudges) are off unless you switch them on.
Other hats
One email can hold several hats, each with its own name, page and Stripe.
Still stuck? Email hello@dancecommand.com - a person answers.
