How Dance Command works

One account for each thing you do in dance, all on one email: run nights, teach, DJ, play, shoot, perform, host. The accounts find each other, book each other and pay each other here, and your nights go on Dance Seekers.

Organizers

  • Sell tickets and passes, and run the door: scan, take cash and cards, and keep going when the wifi drops.
  • Ask DJs, instructors, photographers and venues to work each night, and see who said yes.
  • Your dancer list, messages, forms and waivers.
  • Every night you publish goes on Dance Seekers.

Wear more than one hat? Tick them all when you sign up. Each is its own account with its own page, on the same email. Working on someone else's team? How that works.

How booking and paying works.

  1. An organizer finds you. They search by what their community dances, open your page, and ask to work together.
  2. They put you on a night. You answer that night on its own, from your phone or the web. A yes puts it on your calendar with the address and who to call.
  3. After the night, they pay you here. You receive the full amount, and payouts land in your own Stripe account. Paying their people has a lower transaction fee for the organizer: 0.8% (max $5) by bank, 2.9% + $0.30 by card.
  4. You charge your own students and clients here too. A lesson, a booking or a tip carries one transaction fee: 7.5% + $1 (10% under $10), the same as a ticket, online or in person. Cash is free.

Dancers can also come to you directly: a dancer asks for a private lesson on Dance Seekers, the request arrives in your lesson thread, and they pay you with one link or a prepaid pack. Every price →
