How Dance Command works for dance teams
Your members pay dues and see what's next; organizers hire the team to perform at their nights.
Your first day
- The team's page and rates.
- Get paid: set up the team's own Stripe account.
- Set your dues and invite your members.
Dues are a sale
- Members are paying the team, so dues are a sale and carry the transaction fee: 7.5% + $1.00, online or in person. By default the member pays it on top, shown as its own line; you can absorb it instead.
- A member can save a card once for automatic monthly dues.
- When an organizer pays the team for a performance, they pay a lower transaction fee and the team gets the whole amount.
Who sees you
- Organizers and studios on Dance Command find you in Find people from the day you sign up. What you perform, your city and your line about you decide how high you come up. They see your page and ask; your rates stay private.
- Your own page on Dance Command is public: the link in Share is the one to put in your bio.
Notifications
- On your phone: push notifications for answers, work and reminders are on once you allow them; news is off. Quiet hours (11 pm to 9 am) hold work and reminder pushes until morning. Change it all in Notifications.
- Email: messages a person wrote, booking asks, invites, receipts and sign-in codes always come. Automatic emails (the morning summary, reminders, nudges) are off unless you switch them on.
Other hats
One email can hold several hats, each with its own name, page and Stripe.
Still stuck? Email hello@dancecommand.com - a person answers.
