How Dance Command works when you're on someone's team
An organizer invited you to help run their nights. You sign in to their account with your own email; there is nothing to set up.
Your first day
- Open the invite. Someone new sets a password; someone already on Dance Command accepts it from their account.
- Get the Dance Command app for the door.
What your role lets you do
- Team: the calendar and your nights, the team chat, and the door: check-in, cash and cards.
- Manager: also adds and edits nights, books the crew, sees tonight's numbers and messages the pros.
- Admin: everything day to day, money included, except the Stripe connection. Owner: everything.
- Only the owner or an admin can change your role.
Money
- Money you take at the door goes to the organizer's Stripe, never yours.
- If they pay you for your time, it reaches you whole: they pay a lower transaction fee for paying their people.
Notifications
- You hear about your own nights and crew changes; managers also hear about subs and requests, owners and admins about money.
- On your phone: push notifications for answers, work and reminders are on once you allow them; news is off. Quiet hours (11 pm to 9 am) hold work and reminder pushes until morning. Change it all in Notifications.
- Email: messages a person wrote, booking asks, invites, receipts and sign-in codes always come. Automatic emails (the morning summary, reminders, nudges) are off unless you switch them on.
Other hats
One email can hold several hats, each with its own name, page and Stripe.
Still stuck? Email hello@dancecommand.com - a person answers.
